Our Award Process

As a MAACO franchisee, you’re in business for yourself, but never by yourself – we’re with you every step of the way. It all starts with your completed application. Once we’ve received your application, we’ll assist you through the application process.

Our communications begin here and we provide you with the franchise information package. We will do our best to answer all of your questions. We will also set up a one-on-one Webinar with you to go over the MAACO Franchise program. Some information can be given out only when the Confidential Franchise Questionnaire is received.

Upon our receipt of the completed Confidential Franchise Questionnaire, we will review your information and schedule a time to discuss your preliminary approval. From there, we will schedule an appointment to personally hand you MAACO’s Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). If in the event we are unable to meet face to face, then an electronic version of the FDD will be sent to you.

Once you have received the FDD, you will be required to complete Item 23 (the acknowledgement of receipt) and submit verification back to the company along with financial verification of funds. Between Week 3 and Week 4, the approval committee will review your file. If approved, you will be sent a formal document stating that you are qualified to be awarded a MAACO Franchise License. If you are committed to this opportunity, then this is your indication to move forward.

This is where you take the time to really check our company out. We encourage you to contact existing franchisees, work with accounting and legal professionals and decide if MAACO is right for you.

By Week 6, and provided you have held the FDD for at least 14 days, we will submit to you a Franchise Agreement for your selected territory. At this point in the transaction, our staff will anticipate awarding you your Franchise Agreement, unless you choose to move ahead sooner.

After the Agreement Has Been Signed: Once your agreement has been signed, our real estate team will schedule a call to discuss the process of getting your center up and running. We will discuss various options including new start-ups, resale and conversion opportunities. Once a strategy has been put into place, our team will assist you in every aspect of opening of your franchise. We will assist you in terms of site location, loan packaging, lease review, permitting, installation, inventory set up, signage and opening.
